Human Relations Human Awareness

Teamwork Is Essential

Together we stand divided we fall, a working relationship among persons of different racial and cultural backgrounds is essential if America is to remain a great nation. Racial strife and division is no longer an option in a free market society. America with all of its' racial diversity will either learn to work together or perish together. Many nations have resolved the issues of race and class during a time when America continues to struggle to find ways to grant equal protection under the law for all of her citizens. Civil Rights laws are still needed in America because they reinforce the rights and privileges found in the United States Constitution for all American citizens regardless of race, color or creed. Money spent on Civil Rights legislation would be available for other programs if America was a color blind society. All racial groups need to work together to build a more cohesive America.

Variety Adds Quality

When individual differences are respected rather than feared, the path is cleared for positive dialogue among those of different cultural, racial and economic backgrounds. People with different ideas form a powerful team when they work together for a common cause. America's greatness does not lie in her homogenous nature but lies in her heterogeneous nature.

America is the melting pot of the world. Racial groups from all sectors of the globe populate American cities and towns. Diversity is truly the spice of life within America's multi dimensional cultural complex. No other nation can boast of such intriguing cultural and racial diversity. Variety in America has introduced foods such as hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, spaghetti, tacos and potato pie all of which have their roots in various nations around the world. Variety in America is not just confined to food but it is intertwined within its' religious and political life, and within the arts, and sporting events, no where in the world will you find more variety.
